After a terrible accident a teenage girl and her little brother get lost in the burning hot Australian desert. Wandering around, they encounter a young aboriginal boy, who decides to help them. Out of reach from civilisation and at the mercy of nature, the trio momentarily finds a heavenly connection. The society is just a distant mirage. A real classic, this visually stunning film is considered to be one of the most significant works of the Australian New Wave.
