Savonlinna International
Nature Film Festival 25.-27.8.2011

This summer will see a launch of a new event in the Savonlinna region: a three-day film festival, with a focus on nature. A special point of interest is the endangered species in this region, the Saimaa Ringed Seal, or saimaannorppa.

We want to offer something for everyone, with an interest in their environment - from biology experts to laymen, and families with children. We are honoured to have
the President of Finland, Ms Tarja Halonen, as the Patron of our festival.
